Info: It presents the HP-35, introduced in January 1972, as a portable alternative to the slide rule for engineers, scientists and other technical users. The calculator provides ordinary arithmetic, square roots, powers, reciprocals, logarithms, exponentials, and trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions. Its LED display automatically selects ordinary decimal or scientific notation. A four-register stack, combined with Reverse Polish Notation (RPN), retains intermediate results during complex calculations and reduces the need to write them down or re-enter them. A separate memory register stores constants or other values for later recall. The brochure emphasises portability and reliable operation: a compact, shaped case fits into a shirt pocket, while widely spaced keys with tactile feedback help prevent typing errors. The rechargeable nickel-cadmium battery provides approximately three to five hours of continuous use. The calculator can also operate from its mains adapter while charging. Supplied accessories include a mains adapter and battery charger, a leather carrying pouch, a storage box, identification labels and an operating manual. Optional accessories include a security cradle, protective case and spare battery with holder.
