Info: This manual is a bilingual English–German guide to the calculator’s operation, features and practical business applications.
It combines technical specifications, keyboard explanations and worked examples showing both keystrokes and displayed results.

The TEKNIKA 1200 has a twelve-digit display, selectable settings of 0, 2, 4 or 6 decimal places, and an automatic negative-value indicator.
It contains three working registers and one twelve-digit total memory register.
The specifications list bipolar integrated circuits, transistors and diodes for calculation, with MOS-MSI register elements.
The manual explains addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, followed by chained and mixed calculations, reciprocals, squares and higher powers.
A reverse key exchanges operands and also supports repeated multiplication by a constant. Separate clear and clear-entry keys allow operators to restart a calculation or correct an incorrectly entered number.
An important feature is the total register, which can accumulate or subtract individual calculation results.
Dedicated keys allow the operator to display a result while simultaneously adding it to, or subtracting it from, the stored total.
Examples demonstrate sums and differences of products and quotients.
The practical applications include:
- Allocating a budget among branches in proportion to previous sales,
- Maintaining running balances of income and payments,
- Calculating interest and adding it to the principal,
- Preparing totals that include tax and discounts,
- Converting between US dollars and German marks.
The final sections explain automatic clearing, correction procedures and overflow conditions. The booklet also provides guidance on operating the keyboard by touch and basic care, including protection from dust, heat, moisture and shocks.
The manual presents the TEKNIKA 1200 as an office calculator whose memory and operand-exchange functions simplify repeated commercial calculations and reduce the need to record intermediate results by hand.
