A desk-top electronic calculator with a magnetic drum memory has been developed by CANON U.S.A., Inc., New York, N.Y. The calculator has an input capacity of 30 digits. The possibility of mistaken entries has been reduced almost to the vanishing point by the inclusion of two sets of cumulative memories and no less than five sets of constant memories. Another bottleneck to high speed calculation has been eliminated through the use of a completely automatic decimal point system. It is self-adjusting as well as being fully automatic. The memory banks also have automatic decimal systems.
