OLYMPIA: RAE6/30

The device was called the RAE 6/30 internally. 6 for 6 arithmetic operations: +, -, *, /, square and square root. There were only a few devices to try out at the Olympia Braunschweig. The device was never mass-produced. Tests have shown: 3 memories for numbers up to 15 digits. Results and intermediate results in the main arithmetic unit can have 30 digits. Of results and intermediate results with more than 15 digits, only the 15 highest digits can be reused. The number of decimal places to be displayed can be selected with the lower dial. If the integers so require, the decimal point is shifted to the right and the number is rounded. The upper dial assigns the memories as item counters or constants.
